fables part1

Two illustrations based on two fables.The first one is written by Grigore Alexandrescu, a romanian poet ("Toporul si Padurea") and the other one is a Jean de La Fontaine's fable called "The Stag Seeing Himself In The Water".

I went for a painterly feel for these two in particular. And I wanted to create some sort of plot twists in the story that they're telling.

Capcaun

This is another romanian mythological creature. This guy is a Capcaun, some sort of an ogre that was described as being a two headed creature or having a dog's head. So I decided to combine those two descriptions into a savage creature that has a mask made out of a dog's head.
